Hanaa Hateley

I’m a creative seamstress with experience across lingerie and swimwear sampling, small production runs, and garment development. I enjoy problem solving and learning new skills, and I bring a hands-on approach to creating toiles, samples, final samples, and production pieces.

In my most recent work as a self-employed freelance seamstress, I support lingerie and swimwear brands by improving patterns and tech packs and producing garments from my studio in Dartford, Kent. I communicate clearly to manage timelines, address any issues that may arise with tech packs or patterns, and ensure feedback is “clear and concise,” because communication is vital in this role.

Previously, I worked as a Head Seamstress at a lingerie and swimwear development company, where I oversaw our apprentice and managed the team while maintaining the sewing machines. I’m proficient with industrial and domestic sewing machines (zig zag, overlock, lockstitch, twin needle, bartack, and cover stitch) and I’ve also contributed to bra-related work such as bra making and bra grading. I bring strong organization and time management, upload and manage work through tools like SharePoint/Google Drive/Shopify, and I help keep production moving smoothly—from sampling to fittings and fit assessments.
