What I'm looking for

I am looking for a remote backend or platform engineering role. I value clear ownership, thoughtful engineering, sustainable working hours and paid time off. I prefer established companies and mature teams, with opportunities to work on architecture, databases, cloud infrastructure and distributed systems and scaling problems.

Backend and platform-focused software engineer experienced in evolving complex applications across architecture, cloud infrastructure, databases, and event-driven workflows. My work has included live architectural migrations, concurrency-sensitive financial operations, subscription and billing systems, infrastructure provisioning, and database performance.

I currently work remotely with a Canadian company. My experience includes migrating core product capabilities from low-code platforms to React and an AWS-based microservices backend, re-engineering asynchronous billing workflows, protecting concurrent balance mutations with PostgreSQL advisory locks, and designing webhook-driven subscription orchestration.

I have also worked on white-label infrastructure provisioning across CloudFront, ACM and DNS, and improved database-heavy workflows through set-based queries, bulk writes, query-plan analysis, indexing and multi-million-record backfills.
