I’m a frontend developer who took an unexpected path into software: after becoming an English teacher, I realized I still wanted an outlet for building things. Five years in education strengthened how I understand people, communicate complex ideas clearly, and spot real problems worth solving.
Over the past year, I designed and shipped three web applications: a SaaS exam grading platform with real payment processing, a football pitch booking and management system with WhatsApp notifications and revenue analytics, and an attendance tracking tool actively used by university staff. My teaching background directly fueled the work—when I saw attendance challenges in my department, I built AttendEase to solve them.
Now I’m focused on frontend work (React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS) and looking for a remote Junior Frontend Developer role. I’m eager to take ownership, collaborate, and keep turning ideas into products people actually use.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Delivering English language instruction to university preparatory
students. Identified a recurring problem in how attendance was
tracked across the department and built AttendEase — a web-based
tool now actively used by teaching staff to record and monitor
daily attendance.
This project was the starting point that turned a long-standing
interest in software into something real.
