What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a remote-friendly role where I can build quantitative trading systems end-to-end—signal research to event-driven backtesting and live execution—using strong engineering practices, fast feedback, and measurable risk/performance improvements.

I’m a Quantitative Developer focused on turning market signal research into reliable, production-ready systems. I combine statistical methods like Hidden Markov Models and Kalman filters with event-driven backtesting and risk-aware live execution.

My projects reflect that end-to-end mindset: RegimeFlow pairs regime detection with live integration using the Interactive Brokers TWS API, delivering strong backtest results (Sharpe ratio 1.8, 12% max drawdown). I also build high-performance infrastructure such as a production Point & Figure engine with stable cross-language bindings and sub-millisecond latency.

In my recent work, I migrated production services to Java Spring Boot, improved API throughput by 35%, and strengthened security with OAuth2 and role-based access control. I bring the same attention to correctness—fixing critical data issues, ensuring stable uptime, and automating workflows—to every system I develop.

IT Intern

African Foundries Limited

Feb 2024 - Aug 2024 (6 months)

Led migration of a production web app from Ruby on Rails to Java Spring Boot, increasing API throughput by 35% and reducing p95 response latency from 480ms to 180ms. Built Spring Boot services for high-frequency ID/QR generation with zero duplicate IDs across 500K+ daily requests and shipped 15+ REST API endpoints with 95%+ test coverage.
