Completed a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a Second Class Lower Division from The Open University of Sri Lanka. Key subject areas included Mass Communication, Sociology, and Economics, all taught in English.

Obtained the Teaching Knowledge Test certification from Cambridge English. Achieved Band 3 in Module 1 (Language and background to Language Learning and Teaching), Module 2 (Lesson Planning and use of Resources for Language teaching), and Module 3 (Managing the Teaching and Learning Process).

Earned a Distinction Pass in the Diploma in English For Teachers of English from the University of Colombo. The program focused on key subject areas such as Reading, Writing, Speech, Listening, and Literature.
