Glory K’Obonyo
@glorykobonyo
Aspiring Kenyan lawyer with courtroom experience and strong legal research and drafting skills.
What I'm looking for
I am an aspiring Kenyan Advocate currently in the Kenya School of Law Advocates Training Program (expected to complete in 2026). I hold a Bachelor of Laws from Strathmore University (Honours: Second Class Upper), and I bring a commitment to accuracy, professionalism, and strong communication in high-stakes settings.
Through my work experience, I’ve supported legal operations in both court and commercial environments. As an Intern at Milimani Law Courts (Chief Magistrate’s Court), I assisted with legal administrative tasks in Criminal and Civil Registries, including processing plea entries, maintaining court dockets, drafting legal documents, and ensuring accuracy and adherence to court procedure; later, at Isuzu East Africa’s Legal Department, I engaged in drafting legal documents and conducting field research while liaising with clients.
I also strengthen my advocacy through consistent performance in moot court competitions, where I coached and earned recognition for oralist and written submissions (including being coached to the winning team of the 23 edition John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition in 2025). Alongside this, I have teaching and tutoring exposure from Waridi School, where I taught and tutored students while participating in administrative work and document filing—skills I leverage to explain complex issues clearly and work effectively with teams.
