Garbanadia Utami

I am a Bachelor of Science in Cartography and Remote Sensing from Universitas Gadjah Mada, with professional and research experience in geospatial data processing, GIS, remote sensing, and spatial analysis.

My experience includes working as a GIS Operator at PT Mitra Geotama Indonesia, where I processed and quality-checked spatial datasets for mining area mapping projects across Indonesia. I also worked with the Blue Carbon Initiative at Pertamina Foundation, supporting spatial data processing, mangrove monitoring, and environmental mapping. During a project with Universitas Gadjah Mada, I worked on field data collection, land-cover delineation, and spatial reporting. These experiences have strengthened my attention to detail, data validation, problem-solving, and ability to work with different types of datasets.

My academic research focused on remote sensing and environmental data analysis, particularly estimating mangrove biomass and studying the effects of sample plot size and image spatial resolution. Through my research, I gained experience in data preparation, statistical analysis, remote sensing, accuracy assessment, and interpreting analytical results.

I am currently transitioning toward broader data analytics and developing my skills in SQL, while continuing to build on my experience with Microsoft Excel and basic statistics. I am interested in roles such as Data Analyst, Data Processor, Data Specialist, GIS Analyst, and Geospatial Analyst, particularly remote opportunities where I can work with data, improve processes, and support data-driven decisions.

I am especially interested in opportunities where my geospatial background can be combined with broader data analysis. I enjoy working with structured data, identifying inconsistencies, finding patterns, and turning raw data into useful information. I am also motivated to learn new tools and technologies, including business intelligence and data visualization platforms.
