What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an entry-level Cybersecurity Specialist path where I can work as a SOC Analyst, apply my Security+ knowledge to network security and threat analysis, and grow through hands-on monitoring, investigation, and continuous learning.

I’m a detail-oriented IT professional with 7+ years of experience supporting Windows and macOS users in high-volume environments. Since recently acquiring CompTIA Security+, I’m focused on applying my knowledge of network security, encryption, and threat analysis in a Security Operation Center (SOC) role. I also build a strong foundation for my goal as an Ethical Hacker with an interest in penetration testing.

In my current IT Service Desk role at VXI Global Solutions, I diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and connectivity issues, create and manage helpdesk tickets in ManageEngine and JIRA, and support secure work setups for remote users. I’ve worked across identity and access flows using Microsoft Azure MFA apps (DUO and OKTA), and I help manage devices and environments through Intune and Jamf Pro. Alongside production support, I’ve built hands-on cybersecurity labs and repeatedly practiced offensive and defensive techniques with tools like Kali Linux, Metasploit, Wireshark, Nmap, Nessus, Splunk SIEM, and Wazuh with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

I bring both structured methodology and persistence—following NIST incident response concepts, executing comprehensive vulnerability scans mapped to CVE/CVSS, and testing web application risks using Burp Suite and OWASP ZAP. I’ve also deployed detection and analysis approaches such as Snort for IPS/IDS, Zeek and Rita for threat hunting, and threat intelligence workflows using VirusTotal and OSINT tools to extract IOCs. I’m eager to contribute to SOC monitoring and critical infrastructure/data protection while continuously improving my skills through real-world challenges.
