Fernanda Trejo
@fernandatrejo
I operate molecular diagnostics platforms and train users on sequencing and qPCR workflows.
What I'm looking for
At SENASICA, I operate and maintain Applied Biosystems 3500 Series and SeqStudio Sanger sequencing platforms, supporting reliable diagnostic conclusions for regulated pathogens.
I standardize, verify, and validate PCR-based detection protocols for Xanthomonas citri subsp. citri and troubleshoot molecular and biochemical assays from protocol issues through Sanger and Illumina result interpretation.
I deliver hands-on training nationwide for phytosanitary and epidemiological surveillance personnel, helping professional users adopt new methods and best practices. I also produce technical documentation, reports, and workflow improvements.
My laboratory background spans PCR, qPCR, cloning, cell culture, ELISA, electrophoresis, microbiology, and omics analysis in R, Python, and Galaxy. I'm seeking to bring this bench-to-customer perspective to a Field Application Scientist role supporting molecular biology and sequencing portfolios.
