What I'm looking for

I’m looking to grow in a progressive healthcare lab where I can lead diagnostic quality, ensure compliance and biosafety, mentor teams, and use LIMS to improve turnaround accuracy—so clinical teams get reliable results that advance patient outcomes.

I’m a Medical Laboratory Officer with a BSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences and Information Technology, focused on delivering accurate diagnostics that directly support clinical decision-making. I bring hands-on expertise across haematology, blood transfusion science, serology, and clinical chemistry, with a strong commitment to patient care support.

In my current role at Kinani Medical & Dental Center, I oversee and coordinate day-to-day laboratory operations to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. I lead quality control and quality assurance programmes—investigating non-conformances, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.

I also mentor and support junior laboratory staff and students on attachment, helping build a culture of precision, accountability, and continuous improvement. I manage laboratory inventory and reagent procurement, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments with preventive maintenance, and ensure specimen integrity through proper chain of custody when dispatching samples for referral.

Working in WISECARE Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), I maintain meticulous records of tests, results, and patient information while protecting data integrity and confidentiality. Through my attachment experience at Kenyatta National Hospital, I strengthened my foundation across multiple laboratory departments, and today I apply infection control, biosafety, and ethical laboratory practice to help advance patient outcomes.
