I got into development from curiosity about how a website communicates with other systems behind the scenes, and I’ve committed to backend engineering ever since. Today, I’m a Back End Developer at an IT Directorate, managing 3–5 web applications simultaneously and keeping systems stable with a 99% uptime mindset.
I build and maintain RESTful APIs with Laravel, powering 15+ endpoints used across internal departments. I also integrate 4 external systems by handling request/response flows and error management, and I strengthen security through authentication and data encryption—while debugging and troubleshooting to reduce recurring production issues by ~30% and improving average API response time by ~20%.
I’ve seen the other side of development as a QA Engineer, running both manual and automated tests with Cypress, catching bugs before release, and improving regression speed by ~40%.
