Eugene Horak

I’m an education and engineering professional with approximately 20 years of combined experience across industrial automation and international teaching. I deliver ESL/EFL, STEM, Computer Science, and business-focused learning with a practical, systems-minded approach.

In engineering roles (2006–2014), I worked with Siemens automation systems (PCS7/STEP 7/STEP 5) and other industrial platforms, supporting commissioning, FAT, and control system deployment. I also handled DCS network configuration (Profibus/Profinet/Ethernet) and SCADA development (WinCC, Wonderware), strengthening my ability to troubleshoot and explain complex concepts clearly.

Since 2015, I’ve taught across primary, secondary, and adult learners in China and internationally—building lessons using internationally recognised ESL and academic curricula (Cambridge, Oxford, Pearson, and US-based materials). In recent roles, I’ve led English instruction for Grades 4–8, supported IB reading and writing development, and integrated STEM and computing into classroom learning for mixed-ability groups.

I’m passionate about AI-enhanced education tools and curriculum design, using AI-assisted teaching workflows alongside digital video creation and educational technology integration. Whether I’m designing project-based learning or coaching students through coding and robotics (mBot; introductory Python/Scratch/C), I aim to create engaging, structured, and ethically grounded learning experiences.
