Erwin Hein

I’m a results-driven public health professional with a PhD in Public Health and 15+ years of experience leading nonprofit executive work, community health program development, academic administration, and health sciences education. I’m known for launching and scaling initiatives that expand access to whole-person, equity-centered healthcare.

As Executive Director of a faith-based nonprofit, I provided strategic and operational leadership while successfully launching and overseeing a Direct Primary Care clinic in the Philadelphia area. I led cross-functional teams implementing lifestyle medicine programs and wellness outreach, and I managed annual budgeting, fundraising campaigns, and institutional partnerships to sustain long-term impact.

Before that, as Associate Director, I spearheaded the groundwork for the clinic launch—conducting community needs assessment and stakeholder engagement. I coordinated outreach centered on preventive care and mental health awareness, and I led grant writing and donor reporting while strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, churches, and community nonprofits.

Earlier in my career, I served as Academic Secretary, Faculty of Health Sciences, and later as a lecturer across Kinesiology, Nursing, and Nutrition. I oversaw academic administration for undergraduate and graduate programs, improved digital record-keeping, and taught courses that build critical thinking, scientific reasoning, and health promotion—helping learners apply public health principles to real-world community needs.
