What I'm looking for

I’m looking to build reliable, low-latency backend and AI systems that integrate real-time pipelines, ML models, and production safety controls—especially in data-heavy, regulated environments where grounding and auditability matter.

I’m a Senior Software Engineer focused on building reliable, low-latency distributed systems that integrate complex data pipelines, machine learning models, and production-grade backend services. My work spans backend AI services, real-time systems, and ML infrastructure—supporting production AI services for clinical documentation and real-time delivery time prediction.

At Microsoft, I’ve led development of Azure OpenAI–based clinical documentation workflows (with clinician-in-the-loop review), designed prompt orchestration and RAG context assembly, and strengthened healthcare integration through FHIR/HL7 adapters with auditability and Responsible AI safeguards like PHI redaction and hallucination checks. Previously at Uber, I built and improved real-time ETD modeling and streaming feature pipelines using Kafka/Flink, deployed ML feature infrastructure for training-serving consistency, and supported experiments and monitoring to keep production models accurate across regions and changing demand.

Current

Senior Software Engineer

May 2022 - Present (4 years 2 months)

Worked on backend AI services for Microsoft Dragon Copilot, a clinical documentation platform integrating Azure OpenAI and Nuance speech/NLP in HIPAA-regulated environments. Led Azure OpenAI–based clinical documentation generation with prompt orchestration/RAG, improved clinical NLP and Nuance ASR post-processing, built FHIR/HL7 integration services, and implemented Responsible AI safety controls

Senior Software Engineer

May 2017 - Apr 2022 (4 years 11 months)

Worked on Uber Eats’ core ETD system that predicts food delivery times in real time to power customer-facing ETAs, courier dispatch, and marketplace optimization. Built and improved multi-component delivery-time models, engineered geospatial feature pipelines (H3), implemented low-latency streaming feature pipelines with Kafka/Flink, and supported training-serving consistency and experimentation/d

Software Engineer

Jun 2014 - Apr 2017 (2 years 10 months)

Worked on Trello’s core collaboration product, a real-time task management platform for boards, lists, cards, and team collaboration. Built real-time collaboration features with Node.js and Socket.io, developed backend APIs using MongoDB, contributed to frontend migration from Backbone.js to React/Redux, and improved reliability of real-time synchronization by handling duplicate/out-of-order event
