Emmanuel Oduori
@emmanueloduori
I rebuild books, close months, and deliver compliant grant and commercial accounting across remote teams.
What I'm looking for
At Book Clarity, I support several United States businesses remotely from Nairobi, rebuilding neglected ledgers and running end-to-end month-end close. I trace unreconciled activity to source documents, restore accurate opening balances, reconcile accounts, and turn ledger movement into clear profit and cash reporting.
Previously at ThriveAgric, I managed day-to-day East African trading accounting, cash flow, working capital, management accounts, and forecasting. I improved supplier payment timeliness by 28%, raised forecast accuracy by 34%, and delivered management accounts without subsequent restatement.
At BEYA Consulting, I reviewed bookkeeping quality, payroll, receivables, payables, statutory accounts, and VAT and withholding tax filings. I also closed partner grants and helped finance teams resolve documentation gaps before audit.
My nine years at SOS Children's Villages Kenya grounded me in donor-funded programme accounting across five programmes and six international funders. I managed restricted funds, donor reporting, budget monitoring, audits, and grant close-out in Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365; I'm working toward a senior remote accounting role while completing my CPA.

My work has been to take those files apart and rebuild them, tracing unrec
ThriveAgric was commercial finance at pace. I ran day-to-day accounting for East African trading activity, working alongside commercial colleagues and country teams spread across the region to keep transaction capture aligned to the reporting calendar rather than trailing behind it. Trading businesses live or die on timing, so much of my attention went to the cash side: tracking cash flow and work
BEYA Consulting placed me on the other side of the review line. Rather than preparing the numbers, I was the person testing whether they held: verifying underlying data accuracy before anything was posted, checking bookkeeping quality inside the accounting system, and tracking movements against prior periods so the accounts genuinely presented a true and fair view rather than a plausible one. Rece
Nine years at SOS Children's Villages Kenya gave me my grounding in accounting, where the money belongs to someone else. I managed full-cycle accounting for five donor-funded programmes backed by CDC, EGPAF, DANIDA, SOS Denmark, SOS Germany and the Dutch Lottery, each arriving with its own coding structure, restriction rules and reporting calendar. Running that portfolio meant holding the general
