Elizabeth Mungai

I’m a Public Health Specialist and Licensed Medical Doctor with over 9 years of experience in clinical medicine, healthcare quality improvement, patient safety, disease prevention, and health systems strengthening. I hold an MPH with expertise in multidisciplinary healthcare delivery, clinical governance, preventive health, and capacity building, and I’m registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.

In my current role as a Senior House Officer at Aga Khan University Hospital, I provide comprehensive clinical care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, supporting quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits, and mentoring junior healthcare professionals. Previously, as a Medical Officer at St. Mary’s Mission Hospital, I managed patients across outpatient, surgical, and orthopedic clinics and coordinated patient care and referrals, while my internship rotations at Makindu Sub-County Hospital strengthened my breadth across Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics & Gynecology.
