I’m Dongyu Lan, a software engineer focused on backend development and improving everyday life for more people. I work on things I genuinely care about, bringing that motivation into the systems I build.
Currently, I’m a Software Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS), working with EC2 EBS Physalia 2. I enjoy turning infrastructure and platform capabilities into practical, dependable backend experiences.
Previously, I was a Backend Software Developer Intern at Plentify from May to Aug 2024. During that internship, I strengthened my backend fundamentals while working in a fast-moving environment.
My background combines computer engineering with a strong analytical foundation from mathematics. I bring a problem-solving mindset—supported by my education at Duke University (Master’s Engineering, Computer Engineering)—to every engineering challenge I take on.
