Diya Dey

I am a professionally trained Bharatanatyam dancer and dance educator with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Performing Arts (Bharatanatyam). My training also includes formal instruction in Nattuvangam, and I continually build depth in technique, rhythm, and performance craft.

I have earned recognition through the CCRT Scholarship (Centre for Cultural Resources and Training) and the Guru Shishya Parampara Scholarship (Gujarat Sangeet Natak Akademi). I perform across reputed platforms in India and have professional association with Dr. Smruti Vaghela’s dance company (2022–2026), contributing to solo performances and major dance productions.

As a teacher, I focus on Bharatanatyam technique, abhinaya, and structured rhythm training—while mentoring young dancers with care and clarity. I bring a strong commitment to preserving and promoting the traditional Margam repertoire, so students connect to both form and meaning.

Currently, I work as a Dance Teacher at Navrachana International School. I also strengthen my pedagogy through workshops and continuous learning, and I enjoy translating stage experience into engaging, disciplined classroom coaching.
