Dhruv Birthal
@dhruvbirthal
I build competition-winning aerospace structures, robotics prototypes, and manufacturable mechanical systems.
What I'm looking for
I lead manufacturing for Team Sammpaati, where I advanced to Manufacturing Lead after contributing to the team's VFS victory. I led the Structure and Material research division to secure 3rd worldwide and 1st nationwide at the 42nd VFS Student Design Competition.
I direct fabrication of lightweight drone airframes using hybrid carbon-fiber composites and 3D-printed polymers. I also manage manufacturing operations, rapid prototyping schedules, and five engineering projects for a 10-member team.
During my Indian Army internship at 2 Corps Zone Workshop, EME, I led the design, manufacturing, mechanical testing, and simulation of the Project Hailing Swarm Drones System. I developed testing protocols and structural simulations focused on reliability and military operational requirements.
I've authored Springer Proceedings research on a gesture-controlled 3D-printed robotic arm for earthquake-affected environments, and led a 13-member team building a vision-based space-debris detection CubeSat prototype. My work spans mechanical design, rapid prototyping, structural analysis, robotics, and circuit integration.
