What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can provide safe, high-quality nursing for oncology and telemetry patients, continue administering evidence-based treatments, and support team education and patient-focused care in a top-tier facility.

I am a dedicated, compassionate Registered Nurse with 19 years of experience, committed to delivering high quality and safe nursing care for every patient—regardless of background, race, gender, or socio-economic status. I especially value working in leading cancer care, and I’ve built my practice around oncology-focused inpatient work.

Currently, I work at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in a 48-bed inpatient unit covering General Internal Medicine, Telemetry, and Phase 1 patients. I handle provider orders, admissions, transfers, discharges, and complex care plans, and I administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and clinical trial medications while ensuring timely execution of consults and physician orders.

I’ve also contributed through leadership and improvement work, including intermittently acting as a Charge Nurse, initiating shift huddles for acuity and assignment planning, and serving as a Falls Prevention Committee member performing monthly audits and education. I’ve been a “Super User” for devices (including the Visi Mobile non-invasive blood pressure monitor and the Urysis urine analysis device), precept new nurses and students, and earned “Best Clinical Nurse” in 2013.
