Derek Calabro
@derekcalabro
Self-taught software developer with deep experience in iOS development.
What I'm looking for
I'm a self-taught software developer with extensive experience in Objective-C, C, and Python, honed through hands-on projects and community-driven contributions. My journey into software development began during high school, where I sparked an early interest in coding and technology. I have developed and maintained multiple iOS jailbreak tweaks under the alias DTCalabro, which are hosted on GitHub and have garnered attention from thousands of users.
One of my notable projects, ColorBar15, was my first publicly launched tweak, featured in several online articles. I released it on Christmas Day, providing active bug fix support during the holiday season. Additionally, I created PageDotsBeGone, a tweak designed to enhance user experience on iOS, and libDCWeather, a public weather framework that accesses and displays weather data via Apple’s internal framework. My commitment to open-source development and innovation drives me to seek an entry-level or internship opportunity where I can apply my skills and grow professionally within a development team.
