Denise Hodgson

I’m in the final stretch of earning my bachelor’s degree in legal studies, with a foundation in ethics, communication, and systems navigation. I currently work as a preschool support teacher, where I guide young learners through early development with warmth, structure, and creative routines.

Through both personal experience and professional roles, I’ve developed a deep sensitivity to the emotional needs of medically complex and neurodiverse children. I understand how important it is to create environments that feel safe, predictable, and empowering—not just for the students, but for the families walking alongside them. This perspective shapes the way I connect, advocate, and educate.

Looking ahead, I’m preparing to pursue my Juris Doctorate, with the goal of working in investigative law and providing pro bono support for families navigating disability-related legal challenges.

Outside of education, I manage daily life with practicality and care, whether it's baking budget-friendly treats from vintage recipes or drafting professional letters to help advocate for fair outcomes.
