De'Juan Galloway
@dejuangalloway
Showrunner and creative leader crafting character-driven documentary and live entertainment for modern audiences.
What I'm looking for
I’m an award-winning writer, producer, and director with multi-format experience, bringing precision execution and celebrated creative leadership to culturally grounded, character-driven stories for modern audiences. As Showrunner for the Essence | 2025–CURRENT Essence and Coca-Cola content partnership, I own end-to-end creative production across documentary series, short form content, trailers, and social extensions.
I develop series and episodic storylines from concept through delivery—shaping character-driven narratives, thematic depth, and binge-ready story structure. I lead co-writers, producers, directors, and editors as primary creative authority, driving tone, voice, and series identity while overseeing script development, principal interviews, and editorial refinement.
Previously, as Senior Producer at 106 & Sports (Fulwell Entertainment, 2025–2026), I drove episodic creative development and led editorial oversight of rewrites and copyediting. I served as the primary creative liaison between production post and the network, and I authored the shows on-air style guide to establish standards for graphics, music supervision, continuity, and overall visual and editorial cohesion.
From 2012–2024 at BET/PARAMOUNT, I developed and executive produced 75 digital originals (digital shorts and documentaries) supporting BET award shows and tentpoles, earning over 800M views and over 2B impressions. I also managed producers and freelance crews, oversaw casting, and built creative teams and vendors for live red carpet shows and experiential activations, with additional live production leadership at B.LIVE and competition and music programming work including #NOCOVER at The Recording Academy.
