Senior Site Reliability Engineer focused on security, automation, and scalable, reliable infrastructure.
What I'm looking for
I’m a dedicated Senior Site Reliability Engineer with over 15 years of experience in systems administration and infrastructure management, specializing in security, automation, and reliability. I focus on building dependable platforms that improve both operational outcomes and the overall security posture.
At Bloomberg, I implemented distributed logging infrastructure for network and security logs, improving incident response times. I also developed alternatives to proprietary client software for LDAP and Kerberos, established SSH CA-based authentication to reduce long-lived keys, and automated security/access control configuration using Chef and SaltStack. I’ve integrated cloud-environment support into major workflow tools and mentored teammates as a subject-matter expert.
Earlier, as a Console Room Operator, I investigated alarm causes, coordinated off-hours issue communication, and handled Solaris patching and maintenance. I authored Korn shell scripts to automate console-room tasks, and I tested and implemented disaster recovery procedures weekly. I also delivered UNIX helpdesk support and authentication/authorization improvements through LDAP/Kerberos work, and supported Linux security monitoring and virtual hosting capabilities.
I bring a practical engineering foundation from my B.S. in Computer Engineering, with coursework across computer systems, software development, and network security. My professional ethos is continuous improvement through reliable automation, strong incident management, and clear problem-solving.
