What I'm looking for

I'm looking to advance creative, context-rich STEAM and mathematics education, training future educators and improving scientific literacy through collaborative cultural projects.

At NHL Stenden in Meppel, I prepare preservice teachers in the International Teacher Education for Primary Schools program to facilitate mathematics and science learning. I also supervise teaching practice and bachelor theses, and coordinate the International STEAM education elective.

I've taught mathematics for fifteen years in international schools across Canada, Australia, China, Türkiye, Spain, and the Netherlands. At the American School of Madrid, I helped shape the IB Mathematics Higher Level program, supported IB curriculum and assessment implementation, and collaborated with students on a school-wide peer tutoring program.

I use creativity, visuals, context, computational thinking, collaboration, and digital fabrication to modernize mathematics education. Through the ITE Fab Lab and design-based STEAM education, I aim to strengthen future educators' scientific literacy through creative cultural projects.
