Aspiring speech-language pathologist dedicated to enhancing communication skills.
What I'm looking for
I am a passionate and dedicated aspiring speech-language pathologist currently pursuing my M.S. in Communicative Sciences and Disorders at Teachers College, Columbia University. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from New York University, where I earned my B.S. in the same field. My academic journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence, as evidenced by my Founders’ Day Award. I am also actively involved in various certifications, including TSSLD and SPEAK OUT! Provider, which equip me with the skills necessary to support individuals with diverse communication needs.
My externship experiences have provided me with hands-on opportunities to deliver speech-language services to children and adults with varying support needs. At the Grabscheid Voice and Swallowing Center, I have honed my skills in gender-affirming voice therapy and rehabilitation for performing artists. Additionally, my research contributions, including co-authoring a manuscript accepted into the ASHA conference, reflect my commitment to advancing the field of speech-language pathology through evidence-based practices.
Beyond my academic and clinical experiences, I have a strong background in working with children as a nanny and a teacher. These roles have allowed me to develop essential skills in creating engaging, educational activities and fostering a supportive environment for growth. I am eager to continue my journey in speech-language pathology, focusing on making a meaningful impact in the lives of those I serve.
