At Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology, I lead the synthesis of multidisciplinary datasets from large-scale research projects, bringing together microbiology, microscopy, next generation sequencing, and chemical analyses for peer-reviewed publications. I also supervise graduate-level research in molecular biology, bioinformatics, experimental design, and data interpretation.
During my doctoral research at the institute, I optimized high-throughput NGS sample-processing workflows and trained students and visiting researchers in molecular techniques and data analysis. Earlier, as a Scientist for applied bioinformatics at QIAGEN, I supported researchers and clinical users with NGS data analysis and bioinformatics software.
