What I'm looking for

I'm looking to build scalable, maintainable products in complex, mission-driven environments, partnering with product teams from planning through delivery while improving reliability through testing, deployment, monitoring, and thoughtful AI-assisted development.

I've built scalable full-stack applications at Blue Water Autonomy, Valero Energy, and ThredUP, using Java, Spring Boot, React, and AWS to support millions of daily requests.

At Blue Water Autonomy, I own backend services and rich client applications end to end, from scoping and architecture through delivery. I build REST APIs, real-time data visualizations, and reliable AWS-based systems.

At Valero Energy, I designed high-throughput services and led modernization of legacy systems into cloud-native, containerized microservices using Docker and Kubernetes. I also advanced automated testing, continuous deployment, and monitoring practices.

I enjoy working closely with product stakeholders, mentoring engineers through reviews and pairing, and applying AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully while maintaining strong code-quality standards.
