CHRISTOPHER NGUGI

I’m a highly motivated final-year Actuarial Science student with a strong quantitative foundation in statistical modelling, financial mathematics, and data analysis. I combine academic depth with practical experience to turn complex data into clear insights.

Through my industrial attachment at Nyeri County Government as a Data Analyst Intern, I supported the collection, cleaning, and analysis of performance contract data for county departments. I prepared analytical reports and dashboards for performance monitoring and evaluation, and I collaborated with the team to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate insights.

I’ve also built my toolkit through training in quantitative data analysis and data science, including machine learning fundamentals and predictive modelling. I work with R and Microsoft Excel, and I use data visualisation techniques to communicate results effectively.

With my coursework in Life Contingencies, Financial Mathematics, Loss Models, Bayesian Inference, Data Mining, Stochastic Calculus, and Statistical Computing, I’m eager to apply my skills in a challenging internship role within the Data & Analytics sector. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and focused on producing accurate, actionable outcomes.
