What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a junior proofreading/editorial assistant role where I can apply my attention to detail to catch grammar, punctuation, and spelling issues and help improve clarity and flow in written work.

I’m a detail-oriented secondary school graduate with a strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. I’m eager to apply my meticulous attention to detail and love of reading to a junior proofreading or editorial assistant role, where I can spot errors and improve clarity and flow.

Through my freelance proofreading practice (2024–present), I’ve proofread articles, essays, and short stories for peers, identifying grammatical errors, typos, and awkward phrasing. I’ve edited 15+ school assignments and personal documents, correcting 50+ errors per document on average, and I’ve built a checklist for common issues like subject-verb agreement and tense consistency.
