Chereddy Sowmya Sri

I’m a detail-oriented technology professional with a strong foundation in Machine Learning and Web Development, currently pursuing an MS in Advanced Computer Science at the University of Leicester. My coursework spans mobile and web applications, computational intelligence, internet and cloud computing, and data-driven intelligent service design, sharpening both analytical and engineering fundamentals.

Through AICTE and IIT Guwahati experiences, I’ve built and trained ML solutions in real-world settings. As an AI/ML Virtual Intern, I built ML pipelines using Amazon SageMaker for scalable model development across forecasting, computer vision, and NLP tasks. As a Machine Learning Trainee, I developed a sentiment analysis model for restaurant review classification by processing text data and training predictive models.

I’m motivated by turning complex ideas into usable products through full-stack development and applied ML. In a human re-identification project, I developed a React + FastAPI web application for identity tracking, integrating YOLOv8 for detection and OSNet for feature extraction with an intuitive interface and visual feedback. I also designed a Bayesian CNN approach for Remaining Useful Life prediction using KL divergence to improve accuracy, and built a submarine rock and mine detection model published in GRENZE—reflecting my drive to contribute to practical, safety-aware outcomes.
