@chelseaweisbrich
Trauma-informed health researcher passionate about health equity and elder justice.
What I'm looking for
As a trauma-informed health researcher and caregiver, I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Legal & Forensic Psychology at UC Irvine. My experience spans dementia advocacy, in-home care, public health research, and forensic data systems. I am dedicated to serving marginalized communities through inclusive and trauma-informed care, with a strong focus on health equity, elder justice, and LGBTQ+ health inclusion.
Throughout my career, I have developed a robust skill set in community-based aging research, crisis intervention, and health communication. My work as an in-home caregiver at Visiting Angels has allowed me to provide compassionate support to clients with dementia and Alzheimer’s, ensuring their emotional and physical needs are met. Additionally, my research endeavors at UC Irvine and UC San Diego have equipped me with the ability to conduct thorough literature reviews and statistical analyses, contributing to important discussions on public perceptions of criminal intent and responsibility.
I am committed to advancing knowledge in the fields of health and forensic psychology, and I strive to create impactful advocacy materials that promote awareness and understanding of neurodegenerative diseases and their implications for justice and policy.
