As a Nurse Practitioner, I ordered and interpreted diagnostic tests, made diagnoses, and initiated and managed treatment plans for chronic conditions. I specialized in seeing patients for Neurology and Gastroenterology, addressing conditions such as seizures, migraines, Tourette Syndrome, constipation, abdominal pain, GERD, and poor weight gain.

I diagnosed and treated both acute and chronic diseases by ordering appropriate diagnostic and lab testing, developing individualized care plans based on results. I provided preventative care, offered guidance to patients to decrease disease risk, performed complete physical exams, prescribed medications, and counseled patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.

As a Multi-specialty Clinic Nurse, I served as a Registered Nurse for multiple Pediatric specialties, including Neurology, Gastroenterology, and Orthopedics. I assisted families in caring for pediatric patients with chronic conditions and completed prior authorizations for appropriate medications and ordered diagnostic tests in a timely manner.

As a Case Manager/Admission Nurse, I assessed patient home care needs, encompassing physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects. I was responsible for managing pain and other symptoms in both home and hospital settings, and provided support to patients and families to assist them through the grieving process for the loss of a loved one.

As a Staff/Floor Nurse for the Medical Surgical, Oncology, and Dialysis Unit, I developed nursing care plans for assigned patients and served as a liaison between physicians and patients to address problem areas and concerns. I advocated for patients, educated them and their families on prevention measures and treatment procedures, and regularly administered intravenous and oral medications.
