Charissa Nel

I’m detail-orientated, fast-paced, loyal, and devoted to work, with a strong focus on students. I bring an “avid storyteller” approach to make learning feel engaging and purposeful in classrooms.

As a Tourism & Creative Arts Teacher / Coordinator, I taught Tourism (Gr 10–12) and Creative Arts (Gr 9), and coordinated Tourism across grades. I also managed school events and supported assessment readiness through structured coordination and preparation.

In my tutoring work, I assist students to complete tests and examinations as a Reader, Scribe or Prompter—depending on individual needs. I’m “obsessed with being a learner for life,” and I apply that mindset to improve outcomes and confidence for each learner.

I also work as a freelance Graphic Designer and Content Creator, contributing character design, creative inputs, and proofreading/editing. From newsletter writing and formatting to remote collaboration, I stay timely, organised, and consistent in tone and layout for clear communication.
