Computational Linguist & Data Scientist applying AI/ML and probabilistic modeling to language and real-world problems.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Computational Linguist & Data Scientist with four years in paid academic roles applying probabilistic modeling, ML, and neural methods to language-change and coding-focused LLM fine-tuning. I focus on extracting knowledge from data and building reproducible analysis workflows that teams can trust.
In my freelance work as a Forensic Linguistics Consultant, I review written materials in AI-attribution academic integrity cases, extracting and analyzing document metadata and producing formal reporting on modern detection algorithms. I also run comparative analysis of content and error patterns across multiple language samples.
As a Data Annotation Tech, Coder, and AI Trainer, I contributed to fine-tuning multiple LLMs on coding and STEM topics, improving response accuracy through targeted corrections and fine-grained evaluation rubrics. I created and maintained Python codebases that strengthened the reliability of training workflows.
At the University of North Texas, I’ve worked as a Research Assistant using Hierarchical Bayesian Inference, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Deep Learning for studies in diachronic semantic change, language evolution, and geographical-phonological complexity. I’ve also supported students as a Teaching Assistant, covering Bayesian probabilistic models, agent-based modeling, inferential modeling, and neural-network-based NLP.

Forensic Linguistics Consultant
Freelance
Mar 2026 - Present (3 months)
Conducted forensic review of written materials in an AI-attribution academic integrity case by extracting and analyzing document metadata. Compiled formal reporting and compared content and error patterns across multiple language samples.
Conducted review of written materials for an AI-attribution academic integrity case, extracting and analyzing document metadata. Compiled formal reporting on modern detection algorithms and performed comparative analysis of content and error patterns across language samples.
Implemented hierarchical Bayesian inference, machine learning, and NLP/deep learning models for studies of diachronic semantic change, language evolution, and geographical-phonological complexity. Supported an NSF-funded project developing neural-network frameworks for reconstructing historical language data.
Assisted instruction in linguistic modeling techniques in NLP, including Bayesian probabilistic models and agent-based/inferential modeling. Managed assignments and assessments while teaching ML concepts such as neural networks.
Student Assistant Team Lead
University of North Texas Libraries
Sep 2022 - May 2023 (8 months)
Led a team organizing and maintaining physical and digital library reference materials, and trained new employees on library processes. Tracked patron interaction data using SQL and ingested new library materials, earning an excellent student employee award.
