Camilo Sanchez Novoa

I’m a final-year Systems and Computer Engineering student at FastAPI Universidad de los Andes, with experience building backend Amazon Web Services (AWS) systems, data pipelines, and microservice architectures. I specialize in Kubernetes-based backend development, designing REST APIs and scalable services using Python and FastAPI.

I’ve developed ETL pipelines and data workflows using cloud platforms such as Google Cloud and AWS, combining backend engineering with data-focused implementation. I enjoy turning requirements into reliable systems that are easy to debug and extend.

I’ve also supported students as a Teaching Assistant for Object-Oriented Programming (DPOO), where I helped debug assignments and guided problem-solving sessions. This strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly and collaborate effectively.

I’m highly interested in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning—especially how AI can be integrated into real-world software systems and products. I enjoy building systems and using AI-assisted development tools (such as Cursor and LLMs) to accelerate development, debugging, and prototyping.
