What I'm looking for

I'm seeking a SIWES placement in a reputable medical laboratory where I can apply my academic knowledge, build practical laboratory competence, and contribute to quality healthcare services.

I'm pursuing a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Obafemi Awolowo University, building practical laboratory capability through biochemical and molecular biology coursework and academic practicals.

My ongoing project, Phylogenetic Analysis of the Anopheles gambiae Complex, involves retrieving sequences from NCBI, managing FASTA files, performing multiple sequence alignment, constructing phylogenetic trees, and conducting evolutionary analysis with bioinformatics tools.

Alongside my research training, I run Abi's Bead, where I design customized accessories, manage orders and inventory, and maintain customer relationships. I've also supported laboratory safety and practical sessions as a Laboratory Prefect and bring experience in communication, documentation, teamwork, and customer service.
