I’m an AI engineer building Python backends, agent workflows and retrieval-augmented applications, with a focus on testing whether they work correctly.
SignalRank-RAG is my grounded Q&A service: hybrid retrieval, reranking and source provenance, deployed on Azure with authenticated APIs and an MCP server for AI agents. In SaaS Agent Lab, agents carry out policy-checked actions against a transactional backend, verified against database state with 700+ automated tests.
I also research AI reliability. In a controlled experiment involving six synthetic claims, withholding corrective evidence resulted in all six answers being wrong while each received a perfect RAGAS Faithfulness score. This is why I evaluate answer correctness alongside consistency with retrieved evidence.
Before AI engineering, I spent 12 years in scientific research at Leiden University Medical Center and the Institute of Cancer Research, designing experiments, analysing complex data and collaborating across disciplines.
