Beamlak Aschalew

I’m a Laravel and Flutter developer with over 4 years of programming experience, focused on building mobile and web products that feel reliable from the UI down to the database layer. I enjoy turning requirements into maintainable features—especially when clean APIs and correct data behavior matter.

Since October 2023, I’ve worked as a self-employed developer in Addis Ababa, collaborating with clients and delivering end-to-end solutions. Previously, I worked as a mobile and backend developer at a startup, where I strengthened my ability to integrate backend services with responsive mobile experiences.

On the backend and data side, I’m experienced in designing databases that adhere to normalization rules and in maintaining data integrity. I’ve built solutions using relational databases like MySQL and SQLite, and I focus on RESTAPI development so applications can scale and remain easy to extend.

I’ve shipped multiple projects across both web and mobile: a Laravel/React voting platform (Elelyaleaward), a pharmacy supply management web app, a radio/podcast streaming site (Soystreams), an Udemy-like video platform (Ewkethub), and an Android Flutter app (FlixQuest) with bookmarking, RESTAPI integration, Provider state management, and SQLite persistence.
