I’m a young chartered accountant with experience in financial accounting and treasury management. I joined First Aluminium Nigeria Plc in 2014 after my youth service, and I’ve built strong competencies in preparation of financial statements, bank and intercompany reconciliation, and overall account integrity.

In my current role as a Treasury Accountant at PPC LIMITED, I oversee local and foreign payment execution and documentation, manage banking relationships and bank facility renewal processes, and invest idle funds through instruments like Fixed Deposit Investment while recognizing interests in the books. I also manage daily cash positioning, optimize liquidity across currencies, prepare cash flow forecasts, and maintain complete treasury transaction records.

Previously at FIRST ALUMINIUM NIGERIA PLC as Head Office Accountant, I handled corporate cash management, payment workflows, and FX Settlement using multi-currency platforms. I reconciled bank accounts, letters of credit, and suppliers’ accounts, maintained accurate loan accounting records, and ensured timely remittances for PAYEE, VAT, WHT, PENSION, NSITF while upholding internal controls through disciplined posting of journals, accruals, and prepayments.

I bring a practical audit mindset and cross-functional collaboration—preparing audit schedules, participating in statutory audits, and relating with logistics on Form M, Bills for Collections, and Letters of Credit. I’ve also helped deliver measurable outcomes, including implementing online banking for transfers and salary upload, achieving timely intercompany reconciliation to reduce unreconciled backlog, and identifying an FX balance in a Security Deposit account used to offset outstanding LC obligations. I’m proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as MFG pro, SAP by design, and QuickBooks.
