Aya Zouarqui

I am a Data Analyst with a Master’s degree in Big Data Analytics from USTHB and a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research. My career interests are centered around data analysis, Business Intelligence, Data Science, and data-driven problem solving. I am particularly interested in transforming raw and complex datasets into meaningful insights that can support business and operational decision-making.

During my final-year project at Djezzy, I worked on the detection and prediction of LTE radio site congestion using a large-scale dataset of 7.78 million hourly records covering 72,851 cells. I built an end-to-end data pipeline involving data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, data preparation, and machine learning. I benchmarked six Machine Learning models and selected LightGBM, which achieved a 99.6% F1 score for congestion detection. I also developed multi-horizon predictions for H+1, H+3, and H+6, used SHAP for model interpretability, Optuna for optimization, and deployed the solution as an interactive Streamlit application.

My previous experience at SAIDAL involved data management, analysis, advanced Excel, SQL, and reporting with SSRS, while my internship at SONATRACH allowed me to work on data analysis and industrial systems simulation.

I have also developed projects involving Power BI and ETL pipelines, real-time data streaming with Apache Kafka, interactive dashboards, databases, and financial portfolio optimization. My technical skills include Python, SQL, Power BI, Excel, ETL, Talend, Apache Kafka, Docker, Machine Learning, and several relational and NoSQL databases.

I am currently looking for opportunities as a Data Analyst, Junior Data Scientist, or in related data roles where I can apply my analytical and technical skills, continue learning, and contribute to real-world projects. I am especially interested in environments where data is used to solve practical problems and improve decision-making.
