I’m a backend software engineer who builds scalable, resilient systems where reliability and performance are non-negotiable. In my current role on an Order Management System (OMS), I replaced synchronous execution with aiohttp and asyncio across the codebase, refactoring blocking I/O paths to reduce end-to-end latency and eliminate bulk-generation memory leaks.
I’ve led large-scale migrations (~3TB legacy SQL to modern stores), introduced structured event-based logging to improve order creation/listing performance, and strengthened compliance by masking customer PII in generated reports. I also implemented Kafka-based fallbacks in the PDF pipeline to prevent data loss, plus API-level fallback mechanisms for high availability—while tackling race conditions and Sentry-reported issues using asyncio, SQLAlchemy event listeners, and state-driven workflows.

Built the Walmart in-store cashback platform using Python and Pyramid, delivering fixed per-account rewards at scale. Automated monthly cashback reporting (Python, Jinja2, PDF/Excel), modernized AWS Glue/SQL workloads, and led migration from Python 3.8 to 3.12 while managing a team of 3 developers.
