Armando Aguirre
@armandoaguirre
I build secure, reliable backend APIs for authentication, payments, and operational workflows.
What I'm looking for
I've built and stabilized authentication, authorization, payment, and operational service APIs at Sand Technologies, resolving session failures, checkout errors, and data consistency issues without disrupting customer workflows.
I lead legacy migrations and production rollouts by replacing brittle database access with safer SQL patterns, idempotent backfills, and staged deployments. I also build Kafka-based synchronization, Redis resilience patterns, Elasticsearch-backed support tooling, and audit-ready permissions models.
Previously at Alloy, I delivered Java and Spring Boot backend features for account management and downstream integrations, addressing N+1 performance problems, authorization bypasses, duplicate webhooks, and stalled data pipelines.
My earlier full-stack work at Wonder included Node.js and Express services, REST APIs, SQL operational tools, and authentication fixes that reduced recurring login failures by about 30%. I focus on pragmatic CI/CD, observability, testing, and maintainable changes that make production systems safer to operate.

Alloy
Jun 2017 - Jan 2021 (3 years 7 months)
Delivered backend features for customer-facing workflows using Java and Spring Boot, resolving performance bottlenecks from N+1 queries by redesigning data access and adding targeted caching where it stayed consistent. Built API endpoints for account management with Spring Security, fixing authorization bypasses found during audits by adding fine-grained policies and thorough integration tests for
