Ari Papadopoulos

I’m a Senior Film Technician with a strong hands-on background across camera and the full technical pipeline, from equipment coordination to set builds, maintenance, repairs, and health & safety. Since 2024, I’ve operated film equipment and studio facilities, managed the booking system, and provided technical support across campus while keeping operations running smoothly for teaching and production. I also line manage 3 film technicians and coordinate rota planning so staff allocation supports both training and live production needs.

Before that, I worked as a Technical Instructor at Roehampton University (2022–2024), planning and delivering workshops across Film, Photography, Journalism, Sports Journalism, and Digital Media, covering camera, grip, lighting, audio, editing, and post-production. Earlier, as a Camera Technician (2018–2022), I handled restoration and repair for cameras, lighting, grip kit, monitors, and accessories, supporting client enquiries and managing quotations, contracts, invoicing, and stock orders. Alongside my technical roles, I’ve built long-term freelance experience across British TV and film as a Camera Technician, Cinematographer + Camera Operator, plus wedding and events photography/videography, and I’ve completed First Aid at Work (APR 2025).
