Areej Sohail

I’m currently a final year medical student with strong interests in dermatology, psychiatry and plastic surgery, with my main focus being the psychosocial impact of chronic dermatological conditions in modern society. As I come to conclude my time as a student, I aim to utilize the skillset and knowledge required to tackle the challenge of providing care to patients afflicted with such conditions.

I’ve strengthened my research and communication abilities through support roles in narrative reviews and contributions to medical writing, including co-authoring 3 narrative reviews at ResearchX and publishing work in Annals of Medicine & Surgery. I also build patient-centered education through tutoring and advocacy for effective medical communication, and I bring hands-on clinical exposure from plastic surgery electives (EMR data entry, sterile techniques, local analgesia and suturing) alongside audit-driven learning.
