Juancarlo Añez

I am a software architect with deep experience in legacy system migration, language engineering, and open-source tooling. I design and implement migration tools and translators, lead architectural refactors, and build scalable runtimes to bring legacy systems to modern platforms.

I created TatSu, a PEG parser generator for Python used widely in academia and industry, and contributed to Python's parsing strategy and the TRANUS transportation modeling system. I have led technical teams, driven process and methodology adoption for certifications, and consulted across financial, public sector, and commercial projects.

I communicate fluently in English and Spanish (competent in Italian and French), mentor teams, and apply systemic, out-of-the-box problem solving to avoid project failures and deliver maintainable solutions.
