I am an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualified in 2023, specialising in primary care and substance misuse, with a long background in forensic and custodial nursing since qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 2009. I work autonomously assessing, diagnosing, prescribing and managing acute, chronic and minor conditions across settings including GP practice, homeless health services and prisons, and I have completed Independent Prescriber (V300) and nurse prescriber qualifications.
I have led substance misuse and mental health services as a Band 7 lead, coordinated multi-agency care, supervised nursing staff, and delivered nurse-led clinics. I am competent in prescribing Opiate Substitution Therapy, weight-management medications (including semaglutide and tirzepatide), and using clinical systems such as EMIS, ICE and SystemOne, and I apply evidence-based guidance from NICE, BNF and the EMC in clinical decision-making.
