At the Department of Optometry and Visual Sciences at KNUST, I examine and manage ocular conditions, support patient recruitment for research, and guide undergraduates through clinical skills and thesis preparation. I also co-lead a project comparing combined myopia therapies with monotherapies, where I authored the proposal and systematic review protocol and managed literature screening and manuscript preparation across research teams.
My research has included binocular vision in Ghanaian schoolchildren, with findings I co-authored presented at ARVO, and hands-on training in Visual Evoked Potential testing at the Diagnostic Visual Function Research Lab, UCC. In clinical placements, I conducted eye examinations, interpreted diagnostic results, and prescribed corrective glasses and medications.
