In my AWS Cloud Security & Detection Lab, I deployed CloudWatch monitoring agents across Linux and Windows hosts, then investigated a simulated SSH brute-force attack through CloudWatch and CloudTrail logs. I mapped the techniques to MITRE ATT&CK and documented evidence, remediation, and lessons learned in an incident report.
I’ve also written Python scripts to parse authentication logs and built a Zabbix, MySQL, and Grafana monitoring lab. I containerized security-testing tools in Docker and wrapped them in a Python FastMCP server; I’m looking to bring this build-test-validate approach to a cloud security engineering team.
