At Freed, I led the backend revamp of a lending product, implementing EMI calculations, FOIR computation, and lead-eligibility evaluation. The revamp was associated with a reported 10–12% improvement in footfall/retention.
I designed and built a generic Scala journey-orchestration engine for configurable customer workflows, with branching, callbacks, journey versioning, and parent–child orchestration. I also built Patrix, a runtime feature-entitlement system that resolves product features from customer segment, subscription tier, and lifecycle phase.
For file allocation, I designed a workflow that maintains the current allocation snapshot and a movement history/audit trail. I also contributed to an Akka actor-based notification platform, implementing application-side event triggers.
In the Scala payment-reminder service, I replaced bulk data loading with targeted queries for the lead being processed; Grafana monitoring showed an approximately 20% reduction in CPU utilization. On a personal project, I built a loan-management API with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, and JWT authentication.
